Procurement Officer - Commercial / Procurement

Provides active representation on the project teams- PM/Engg & supplier follow-ups until SOP +90 days to ensure Quality, Delivery, Cost support to program SOP launch.
Utilizes supplier selection in alignment with purchasing strategies and new product performance requirements.
Drives value analysis / value engineering activity during launch phase.
Supports improvement of supplier launch procedures to minimize inventory obsolescence and supports lean manufacturing needs in alignment with operational expectations.
Education / Experience / Skills:
Bachelors Degree; Minimum 6+year of related work experience.
Prior program purchasing experience in relevant Shock absorber relevant company.
Demonstrated computer skills (Microsoft Project, Excel, etc.) and knowledgeable of ERP systems (SAP desired).
Functional understanding of Six Sigma, Lean, Continuous Improvement, BOMs, ERP, TS16949.
Previous 2-wheeler shock absorbers experience desired.
Motivated, self-starter who is familiar with a range of materials and manufacturing processes, e.g. steel, stamping, casting, forging/machining, rubber and plastic.
APQP, PPAP documentation, project planning).
Travel: Ability to travel within India & internationally, as required.
