Description : Job Title : Technology Head PlatformsDepartment : Technology & EngineeringReports To : Chief Technology OfficerLocation : Chennai | Bangalore | Hyderabad | Mumbai | GurgaonRole Purpose : The Technology Head Platforms will lead the vision, architecture, and realization of next-generation, AI/ML-first intelligent platforms that power enterprise-scale digital products and services. This role demands a visionary leader who can turn ideas into reality through productization and standardization, building modular, scalable, and commercially viable solutions that drive measurable business value.The incumbent will play a pivotal role in driving platform modernization, orchestrating automation, and optimizing performance across distributed ecosystems while supporting internal IT transformation initiatives. A strong grasp of commercial strategy, technical innovation, and cross-functional leadership will be essential to deliver high-impact outcomes for clients and enterprise operations alike.Strategic Leadership : - Define and lead the strategic vision for AI/ML-first platform ecosystems aligned with business growth objectives.- Build, productize, and standardize reusable digital components that accelerate innovation and ensure agility.- Drive a commercially intelligent technology strategy, optimizing total cost of ownership (TCO) and maximizing ROI for every initiative.- Collaborate with executive leadership to influence strategic decisions through technology foresight and data-driven insight.- Architecture & Delivery : - Architect AI/ML-first platforms (formerly cloud-native) leveraging serverless, containerized, and automated intelligence frameworks.- Champion product-driven, interoperable ecosystems that integrate seamlessly across business units.- Ensure every platform is modular, secure, and performance-optimized for multi-tenant environments.- Lead the transformation from traditional cloud platforms to self-learning, continuously improving systems powered by automation and analytics.Engineering Excellence : - Build and mentor cross-functional teams of platform engineers, data scientists, solution architects, and DevOps experts.- Establish frameworks for CI/CD, observability, and reliability using infrastructure-as-code and automation-driven pipelines.- Oversee 24/7 uptime with proactive monitoring, capacity forecasting, and risk management.Governance, Risk, and Compliance :- Define governance models for technology operations, version control, and DevSecOps compliance.- Ensure adherence to cybersecurity, data privacy, and regulatory standards (ISO 27001, SOC2, GDPR).- Promote transparency and accountability through robust observability, centralized logging, and full traceability.Innovation & Partnerships : - Drive AI/ML-led experimentation and use cases that power applied innovation.- Lead internal IT modernization by scaling automation, analytics, and digital transformation initiatives.- Foster collaborations with hyperscalers, technology partners, and open-source communities to accelerate edge innovation.- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, inclusion, and innovation-centered leadership.- Build organizational capabilities and scale talent through structured mentorship and upskilling frameworks.Required Experience and Skills : - 18 to 24 years of leadership experience in IT services, consulting, or digital platform engineering.- Proven success in building and scaling large enterprise-scale platforms driven by AI, ML, and automation.- Demonstrated ability to productize technology ideas into commercially successful solutions.- Strong grasp of platform modernization, DevOps transformation, and data platform integration.- Excellent commercial and business acumen with a strategic yet execution-oriented mindset.- Experience managing distributed, multi-technology global engineering organizationsQualifications : - Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering.- Certifications in AWS, Azure, or GCP Architecture preferred.- PMP, ITIL, or similar certifications advantageousPersonal Attributes : - Visionary with a balance of strategic foresight and business pragmatism.- Deeply commercial thinker who aligns technology impact with measurable business outcomes.- Passionate about innovation, product development, and large-scale transformation.- tech)
