IT SQL Database Developer

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled SQL Developer with 2-3 years of hands-on experience in database development and optimization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for writing efficient SQL queries, maintaining database integrity, and supporting data-driven applications. Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers - Optimize SQL queries for performance and scalability - Analyze and troubleshoot database-related issues - Collaborate with application developers to integrate databases with applications - Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security - Perform database testing, debugging, and documentation - Assist in database design and schema changes - Support data extraction, transformation, and reporting needs Required Skills & Qualifications - 2-3 years of experience as an SQL Developer or similar role - Strong proficiency in SQL (Oracle / MySQL / PostgreSQL / SQL Server) - Experience with stored procedures, joins, indexes, cursors, and query optimization - Good understanding of database design concepts and normalization - Experience working with large datasets - Familiarity with performance tuning and execution plans - Basic knowledge of ETL processes and reporting tools is a plus - Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code Preferred Skills (Nice to Have) - Experience with PL/SQL or T-SQL - Exposure to cloud databases (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, etc.) - Knowledge of Python, Shell scripting, or any backend language - Experience with version control tools (Git) Education - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field Soft Skills - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Good communication and teamwork abilities - Attention to detail and commitment to data quality
