Head of Human Resources & Payroll

Key Responsibilities People & HR Strategy:
Define and execute a global HR strategy aligned with business growth, expansion plans, and long-term organizational goals.
Act as a strategic advisor to the CEO and Board on workforce planning, leadership capability, and organizational design.
Build HR governance models for multi-country operations, joint ventures, and greenfield projects.
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning:
Lead global workforce planning for lithium refining plants, battery manufacturing units, R&D, supply chain, and corporate functions.
Drive executive hiring, leadership succession planning, and critical skill development.
Develop talent pipelines for specialized roles including chemical engineers, battery technologists, plant operations, EHS, and automation experts.
Lead change management initiatives for plant commissioning, expansions, mergers, or global restructuring.
Build a high-performance, safety-driven, and sustainability-focused culture.
Compensation, Benefits & Rewards:
Develop global compensation and benefits frameworks aligned with market benchmarks and local statutory requirements.
Design long-term incentive plans (LTIPs), ESOPs, and performance-linked pay structures for leadership and critical talent.
Ensure internal equity, pay governance, and cost optimization.
Performance Management & Leadership Development:
Establish performance management systems linked to business KPIs and ESG goals.
Lead leadership development programs for senior management, plant heads, and high-potential talent.
Build robust succession planning for critical and leadership roles.
Industrial Relations & Employee Relations:
Lead industrial relations strategy across manufacturing locations, including union management and negotiations where applicable.
Ensure smooth employee relations, grievance handling, and compliance with labor laws.
Drive workforce engagement and retention strategies in high-skill, high-risk environments.
HR Operations & Compliance:
Ensure compliance with global and local labor laws, employment regulations, and statutory requirements.
Oversee HR operations, payroll governance, HRIS, and digital HR transformation.
Strengthen HR policies, SOPs, and audit frameworks.
Partner with EHS teams to embed safety leadership and behavioral safety programs.
Promote diversity, inclusion, and ethical workplace practices globally.
ESG, Sustainability & Employer Branding:
Integrate ESG and sustainability goals into people policies and workforce practices.
Support employer branding initiatives aligned with green energy and sustainability values.
Strengthen community engagement and CSR initiatives at plant locations

Experience:

  • 8–10+ years in a senior leadership role (Global Head HR / CHRO / VP HR).
  • Prior experience in one or more of the following industries:
  • Chemicals / Mining / Metals / Refining
  • Battery Manufacturing / EV / Energy / Heavy Manufacturing
  • Proven experience managing multi-country HR operations and large workforce bases.
