Release Train Engineer should be able to create the environment for a team to deliver value, be highly independent, confident in their abilities and flexible enough to adapt to an evolving landscape.
Organize and facilitate key ART ceremonies, including PI (Program Increment) planning, daily stand-ups, system demos, and retrospectives.
Oversee the Release Planning & Execution of program-level objectives, ensuring that work progresses according to schedule and quality standards.
Drive continuous improvement at the program level by identifying areas of process inefficiencies, implementing corrective actions, and fostering a culture of lean and agile practices.
Facilitate ART Performance Tracking and report progress, performance, and metrics related to ART delivery, including burndowns, velocity, and quality indicators.
Promote and enforce SAFe best practices within the ART, ensuring alignment with the agile principles and goals and enabling leadership and teams to become high performing.
Assisting the self-organizing, self-managing ART to achieve its goals.
Experience working with geographically dispersed clients.
Typical Experience: Total 9-15 years IT experience working in Agile software development environments.
Hands on experience as Release Train Engineer or in a similar role within a scaled agile framework for at least 4+ years.
Hands on experience in waterfall, hybrid, and agile projects
Experience in using Scrum, Kanban, Lean Agile & DevOps.
SAFe Scrum Master, SAFe Program Consultant) a plus.
Bachelors in engineering / MBA.
Knowledge and experience of other agile, lean and DevOps approaches (e.g., Excellent coaching and mentoring skills
