Senior Java Software Support Engineer
Seeking an Application Support Engineer with experience in L2/L3 support and software development. The role involves coding, debugging, and automating support functions while managing support tickets and processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide L2/L3 application support.
- Code in Java or similar languages for debugging and updates.
- Write scripts for debugging and automating repeat issues.
- Communicate clearly and empathetically with stakeholders.
- Identify corner cases and add validations to enhance problem-solving.
- Manage support tickets using tools like Gitlab and JIRA.
Requirements
Requirements:
• Level L2, L3 Application Support experience preferably in 3-10 years range.
Key criteria:
- Bachelor's degree (U.S. or equivalent) and 3+ years of software development experience.
- Must be comfortable coding in Java or similar programming language, debugging, writing quality-of-life snippets, writing scripts for debugging and updates and familiarity with Linux bash scripting..
- Must be clear, empathetic communicator.
- Must be willing to execute on support issues while also building out the function and automating repeat issues.
- Ability to identify corner cases, add validations will help us understand problem solving ability.
- Knowledge of standard support ticketing, prioritization and SDLC processes and tools Gitlab, incident management, JIRA etc.
