An MEP Draughtsman is responsible for preparing detailed technical drawings for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP)systems in construction projects. Heres a general job description: Job Responsibilities:
Create 2D and 3D technical drawings for MEP systems using AutoCAD or other drafting software.
Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure accurate design specifications .
Prepare shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire-fighting systems.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and project requirements .
Conduct site visits when necessary to verify design feasibility.
Assist in modifications and revisions based on feedback from engineers and consultants.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other drafting tools .
Strong understanding of MEP systems and construction processes .
Ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings .
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
