Chief Technology Officer - AI/ML

Work Location: Chennai (Work From Office)
The Head of Technology (HoT) is the strategic enabler for the entire Matrimony.com business, accountable for building and running the foundational technology platform that powers all digital and physical operations. This role owns hybrid cloud infrastructure, enterprise security, DevOps/SRE enablement, and corporate/branch IT—not as a support function, but as a transformational, solution-oriented leadership mandate.

Engineering Enablement & DevOps
Build a standardized, self-service developer platform (CI/CD, IaC, automation).
Cloud Infrastructure & FinOps
Lead hybrid/multi-cloud strategy and complete AWS migration.
Drive cost optimization and accountable cloud spend using FinOps practices/tools.
Own scalability, performance, uptime, infra lifecycle, and key vendors.
Security, Risk & Compliance
Reduce risk, audit findings, and improve detection/response.
Corporate & Branch Technology
Run corporate/branch IT as a high-CSAT, automation-first service.
Manage branch/local infra, colo, and business-critical tele-calling systems.
Drive modernization over operations; Challenge legacy thinking, enforce accountability, and lead innovation.

Cloud Architecture & Migration: AWS deep expertise (preferred), Azure exposure ok.
DevOps/SRE Enablement: CI/CD standardization, deployment safety, platform engineering.

BCP/DR: Business continuity and disaster recovery planning and testing.
Data Platforms Awareness: Data lakes, DWH, ETL, Data engineering basics.

Innovation & tech-oriented mindset: Education & Experience:

• 15–20 years total experience with progressive leadership in platform / infra / security domains.
• B.E/B.Tech in any specialization. Post-grad/MBA optional, not required.
• Must also have product deployment experience in product, services, or hybrid environments, showing ability to execute across messy legacy and modern stacks.
• Proven track record running infra, DevOps and security in organisations with both digital and physical footprints.
