CALL FOR POSITION: ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR - PUBLIC POLICY
Location: Chanakya University, Devanahalli, near International Airport - Bengaluru
Position Overview:
The School of Law, Governance and Public Policy invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the level of Assistant Professor in Public Policy. We are seeking a scholar-practitioner with a strong academic background, teaching capability, and research interests in public policy and governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach core and elective courses in Public Policy and related fields
- Conduct and publish research in relevant policy areas
- Mentor students and guide research and field-based projects
- Collaborate on interdisciplinary projects within the University
- Engage with policymakers, civil society, and external stakeholders
- Support academic administration, curriculum development, and program operations
- Organize and contribute to seminars, conferences, and policy events
Preferred Areas of Expertise: Applicants with expertise in the following areas (or related fields) are encouraged to apply:
- Public Administration and Governance
- Political Economy
- Social Policy and Development
- Economic and Regulatory Policy
- Environmental and Climate Policy
Qualifications
- PhD in Public Policy, Political Science, Economics, or a related discipline is mandatory
- Master's degree from a globally recognized institution preferred
- Strong research and publication record (or demonstrable potential)
- Experience in quantitative and/or qualitative research methods
- Familiarity with statistical tools such as STATA, SPSS, or R (preferred)
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to impactful teaching, research, and institutional development
