Head of Human Resources & Payroll

We are looking for a proactive and organized HR Executive to own end-to-end HR operations and support basic administrative functions. The role involves managing the full employee lifecycle, driving engagement initiatives, and maintaining HR systems on Zoho People — while working closely with leadership in a fast-growing startup environment.

Location : Baner, Pune, Maharashtra
Employment Type : Full-time
Working Days : 6 days/week
Salary : ₹2,64,000 – ₹3,36,000 per annum (CTC)

Requirements

• Manage end-to-end recruitment: job postings, screening, interviews, offer rollout, and onboarding
• Maintain employee records, contracts, and HR documentation on Zoho People
• Handle attendance, leave management, and payroll inputs via Zoho Payroll
• Support performance appraisal cycles and employee evaluation processes
• Coordinate training, development, and onboarding programs
• Handle employee queries and drive engagement initiatives
• Ensure compliance with applicable labor laws and internal company policies
• Assist in drafting and improving HR policies and SOPs
• Generate HR reports and maintain basic analytics on Zoho
• Any Graduate (HR, Management, or related field preferred)
• 0–2 years of experience in HR or related functions
• Hands-on experience with Zoho People / Zoho Payroll preferred; willingness to learn mandatory
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Good understanding of HR processes, labor laws, and compliance basics
• Proficiency in MS Office / Google Workspace
• Ability to work independently and mana ge multiple priorities
