As a senior accountant at Tax Central, you will play a key role in managing client accounts, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with Australian taxation and accounting regulations. You will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial information, supporting clients with their accounting and tax requirements, and maintaining high standards of professional service. Your expertise in accounting, GST, taxation, financial reporting, and financial services, along with your strong communication skills and proficiency in spoken and written English, will enable you to collaborate effectively with clients and internal teams. Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office, and accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, MYOB, and Tally will be essential in managing financial data efficiently and streamlining accounting processes.
Preparation and review of Business activity statements (BAS), including accurate processing and reconciliation of GST and PAYG obligations in compliance with Australian taxation requirements.
Preparation of year-end financial statements, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable accounting standards and client requirements.
Preparation and detailed review of year-end tax returns for companies, trusts, and individual clients, ensuring timely lodgement and adherence to ATO regulations.
Assisting in tax planning activities and providing advisory support to help clients achieve tax efficiency and maintain compliance with Australian tax laws.
Managing day-to-day accounting, bookkeeping, and compliance-related activities for Australian clients across various industries.
Supporting payroll processing, superannuation compliance, and related account reconciliations to ensure accurate employee and statutory payments.
Conducting quality checks and detailed reviews of work completed by team members to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to internal standards.
Providing training, guidance, and development support to junior team members to enhance their technical knowledge and professional growth.
Assisting in process improvement initiatives and implementation of best practices to improve operational efficiency, accuracy, and workflow management.
Consistently meeting and exceeding business KPIs by ensuring high-quality deliverables, timely completion of work, and avoiding escalations through proactive communication and effective issue resolution.

have minimum 1 years of experience
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
Strong knowledge of Australian accounting principles, taxation, GST, financial reporting, and compliance requirements.
Ability to build and maintain professional client relationships while delivering high-quality service.
Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office, and accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, MYOB, and Tally, with the ability to quickly adapt to new systems and technologies.
