Department & Sales Manager

Kia India

Job Summary We are seeking a Section Head – Corporate Affairs, Regulations & CSR to lead the design, execution, and optimization of the organization's regulatory strategy, government engagement, and CSR governance. This role will play a pivotal part in ensuring regulatory compliance, influencing policy outcomes, strengthening stakeholder relationships, and enhancing the company's corporate reputation across national and industry platforms.
Regulatory Monitoring & Compliance

Track, analyse, and interpret evolving automotive regulations including CAFÉ, BS-VII, WLTP, BNCAP, EPR, QCOs, mandatory safety norms, EV standards, and taxation changes.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams (R&D, Product Planning, Sales, Service, Finance, Procurement, etc.) to ensure timely regulatory compliance and readiness.
Prepare and present regular regulatory updates, impact assessments, and compliance status reports to senior management.
Lead company representation at industry bodies such as SIAM and participate in regulatory consultations and working groups.
Develop, align, and articulate the company's policy positions in coordination with internal stakeholders and global HQ.
Support leadership engagement with ministries and regulatory bodies including MoRTH, MHI, MoP, BEE, MoCI, and others.
Facilitate regulatory approvals, certifications, and issue resolution related to imports, homologation, and compliance matters.
Policy Analysis, Emerging Technologies & CSR Governance

Track and analyse policy developments related to PLI schemes, vehicle scrappage policy, EV roadmaps, alternate fuels (CNG, ethanol, flex-fuel), and sustainability initiatives.
Assess the business impact of policy changes on product strategy, investments, and long-term planning.
Drive CSR strategy, governance, project execution, monitoring, documentation, and statutory reporting in line with CSR Act guidelines.
Strong understanding of automotive regulations, public policy frameworks, and compliance mechanisms.
Experience in regulatory impact assessment, policy advocacy, and industry association engagement.
Knowledge of CSR governance, sustainability frameworks, and reporting standards.
IT / Software Skills

Proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) for policy briefs, dashboards, and presentations.
Familiarity with compliance tracking systems, regulatory databases, and digital collaboration tools.
Stakeholder / Vendor Management Skills

Proven capability to manage government bodies, regulators, industry associations, consultants, NGOs, and CSR partners.
Experience in evaluating partner performance and managing long-term strategic relationships.
Postgraduate degree in Public Policy, Engineering, Management, Law, Economics, or Sustainability from a reputed institution.
Background in Automobile / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering preferred.
Experience

  • 12–15 years of experience in corporate affairs, regulatory affairs, public policy, or government relations.
  • Prior leadership experience in regulatory strategy, CSR governance, or public affairs roles.

Automotive OEMs, EV manufacturers, auto component companies.
