Senior Yoga Therapist Job Summary: The Senior Yoga Therapist is a highly skilled and experienced professional specializing in therapeutic applications of yoga to promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being. This role involves assessing clients' needs, designing personalized yoga programs, leading therapeutic sessions, and guiding individuals towards achieving their health goals through the integration of yoga practices. This position reports to RMO. Key Responsibilities:

Client Assessment and Individualized Program Design: Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' physical, emotional, and mental health to identify specific needs, concerns, and goals. Develop tailored yoga therapy programs based on the assessments, considering the clients' conditions, limitations, and preferences.
Therapeutic Yoga Sessions: Lead individual or group yoga therapy sessions, guiding clients through a range of yoga techniques, including asanas (postures), pranayama (breathing exercises), meditation, relaxation techniques, and mindfulness practices. Modify and adapt practices to meet the unique needs and abilities of clients.
Personalized Treatment Plans: Develop detailed treatment plans that include specific goals, recommended practices, and progression strategies. Educate clients on the therapeutic benefits of yoga, teaching them how to practice safely and effectively on their own to enhance their well-being.
Progress Monitoring and Adjustment: Regularly assess clients' progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly. Monitor and document changes in clients' physical, emotional, and mental states, noting improvements, challenges, and modifications needed for optimal results.
Client Education and Empowerment: Educate clients on the principles and philosophy of yoga, its therapeutic applications, and how it supports overall health and wellness. Provide guidance on lifestyle modifications, stress management techniques, and self-care practices that complement the yoga therapy sessions.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Master degree (Msc/M.A) in Yoga with advanced training in yoga therapy from a recognized yoga therapy institution.

Extensive experience as a yoga therapist, preferably with specialization in specific areas such as mental health, chronic pain management, or rehabilitation.

Deep understanding of anatomy, physiology, psychology, and the therapeutic applications of yoga.
