POSITION : Senior/Lead Scientist

REPORTING : Group Lead

LOCATION : South Korea (relocation benefit available)

POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior/Lead Scientist will be responsible for overseeing the downstream process development and platform process development for antibody drug conjugates (ADCs). This role involves managing projects focused on the purification and conjugation of naked mAb, bsAb, Fc-fusion, and recombinant proteins. The candidate will handle scale-up and technology transfer for pilot-scale and clinical material production and will communicate with clients regarding process development strategies and interim results.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Process Development:
- Lead downstream process development for ADCs and related biopharmaceutical projects.
- Execute lab-scale purification experiments to develop processes suitable for GMP clinical manufacturing.
- Design and review virus clearance studies, protocols, and results for mAb derivatives and ADCs.
Project Management:
- Conduct and evaluate purification experiments and scale-up processes.
- Write and review batch records, study protocols, and development reports.
- Oversee technology transfer from client facilities to GMP facilities.
Client and Team Interaction:
- Communicate process development strategies and interim results to clients.
- Enhance employees' skills and knowledge to improve performance and expand capabilities.
Documentation:
- Prepare and review protocols, reports, and batch records for downstream process development.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant science, engineering, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in downstream process development for ADCs.
Hands-on experience with lab-scale to pilot-scale purification of ADCs.
Proven experience in technology transfer from process development to clinical material production.
Experience with at least two virus clearance studies.
Strong project management skills in the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry.
Expertise in protein purification techniques, including column and filter work.
