Key Responsibilities

Quality Strategy & Planning

Define and manage the overall QA strategy , test approach, and quality governance for the program.
Own test planning, estimation, scheduling, and preparation across multiple milestones.
Establish QA processes, standards, and best practices for multi-system, multi-site testing.
Collaborate with business teams to understand requirements, acceptance criteria, and testing scope.

Test Management & Execution

Lead end-to-end testing across UI, API, integrations, backend workflows, and data validations .
Ensure coverage for functional testing, regression, SIT, UAT support, and production validation.
Conduct cross-browser, cross-device, and responsive UI testing.
Oversee and participate in test case design, review, and execution.
Ensure thorough testing of features such as homepage, PLP, PDP, cart/checkout flows, user accounts, orders, and promotions.
Validate integration workflows between multiple systems (commerce engine, OMS, ERP, CMS, marketing, payment systems, etc.).
Perform high-level data validation, including post-migration checks.

Automation Leadership

Define automation strategy and roadmap (UI + API).
Build or oversee automated regression scripts using a no-code/low-code internal tool or standard frameworks.
Ensure automation coverage for critical end-to-end journeys.
Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines.

Performance & Load Testing

Ability to plan and coordinate performance testing (tools may vary such as JMeter, Lighthouse).
Provide insights on page performance, response times, and potential bottlenecks.

Defect Management & Reporting

Own defect triage, prioritization, and RCA processes.
Maintain transparency with stakeholders on defect status, quality risks, and mitigation strategies.
Provide daily/weekly QA reports, coverage metrics, and readiness updates.

Leadership & Team Management

Lead and mentor a small offshore QA team (manual + automation).
Review team work, guide testing scenarios, and ensure delivery quality.
Act as the primary QA point-of-contact for the client onshore.
Work effectively in an agile environment with distributed teams across time zones.

Required Skills & Experience

Must-Have Skills

8–12 years of total QA experience , with 3+ years in a lead or onshore client-facing role .
Strong experience in end-to-end testing of complex, integrated digital platforms.
Solid understanding of web application testing , responsive UI testing, and browser/device compatibility.
Strong experience in API testing and validating multi-system integrations.
Hands-on experience in test case design, execution, and defect management .
Experience with automation testing (any tool or framework).
Experience coordinating or executing performance testing .
Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum practices.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work with business users.
Ability to lead offshore QA engineers , review their work, and ensure output quality.

Good-to-Have Skills

Experience testing eCommerce, retail, or multi-site digital platforms.
Exposure to composable architecture, headless commerce, or API-driven systems.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools and automation integration.
Understanding of data migrations, data integrity validation, and cross-system flow testing.
Experience using tools like JIRA, Confluence, Postman, browser dev tools, performance testing tools.
