About the job

We are looking for a hands-on Cybersecurity professional with 6 months to 1 year of practical experience who has already worked with real-world security tools through previous employment, internships, training, or personal projects. This is not a theory role. You will be responsible for implementing, enforcing, and monitoring security processes across our engineering stack. You will sit between DevOps and Developers, ensuring security is built into the system, not added later.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct SAST and DAST scans on applications and APIs to identify security vulnerabilities.
2. Implement security checks and automated security testing within CI/CD pipelines.
3. Ensure security processes are consistently followed, vulnerabilities are flagged, and identified issues are remediated without silent bypasses.
4. Collaborate directly with Development and DevOps teams to investigate and resolve security vulnerabilities.
5. Validate implemented fixes and perform re-testing until vulnerabilities are successfully closed.
6. Maintain accurate security reports, scan results, vulnerability records, and remediation status.
7. Identify gaps in existing security workflows and contribute to improving security processes.
8. Own application security hygiene and ensure security standards are consistently maintained.

Other requirements

1. Proven hands-on experience with SAST/DAST through internships, industry training, or academic/personal security projects.

2. Working knowledge of application security processes.

3. Familiarity with OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities.

4. Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and how security fits into them.

5. Ability to read scan outputs, understand risks, and communicate fixes clearly.

6. Strong follow-through mindset, with the ability to track issues until they are resolved.

7. Comfortable calling out when security processes are not being followed.

8. Hands-on exposure to tools such as OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite, Snyk, SonarQube, and Trivy.

9. Basic knowledge of cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.

10. Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or container security.

11. Understanding of API security, authentication, and authorization.

12. Any real-world security assessment, PoC, or bug-finding experience.
