Job Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned Accounts Head to manage and lead the financial operations at our steel manufacturing plant. This leadership role will oversee accounting, cost control, compliance, taxation, budgeting, and financial reporting functions. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in a plant environment, preferably in the steel or heavy manufacturing industry , and should be familiar with ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, or Tally.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Accounting & Reporting

Finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements as per IND-AS.
Manage book closures, ledger reconciliations, and internal MIS reports.

Cost Accounting & Budgeting

Handle product and process costing, including valuation of raw materials (e.g., iron ore, coal, scrap).
Analyze yield variances, wastage, and plant profitability.
Develop budgets, forecasts, and implement cost control strategies.

Taxation & Compliance

Ensure timely filing of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory obligations.
Coordinate audits – statutory, internal, and tax-related.
Comply with factory laws, PF, ESI, VAT, and labor-related payments.

Cash Flow & Treasury Management

Monitor daily fund flow and cash flow operations.
Oversee accounts payable, receivable, vendor payments, and credit control.

Requirements

Required Skills:

Strong knowledge of accounting standards and statutory compliance
Expertise in cost accounting and financial controls in a plant environment
Proficient in SAP / Tally / Oracle or similar ERP systems
Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills
Fluency in English, Hindi, and the local language (preferred)

Preferred Qualifications:

CA, CMA, MBA (Finance), or M.Com
10–18 years of relevant experience in steel, metal, or heavy manufacturing industries
