The Quality Manager is responsible for the administration of the organizations Operational Excellence and Performance System (OEPS), implementation and sustainment of the company's business excellence programs and has the authority over processes affecting service quality. The Quality Professional will provide leadership for the development, implementation, communication and maintenance of the company's OEPS and support system integrity through the geographical area of responsibility.

Responsibilities

Extensive experience and understanding of O&G standard industry premium threads such as VAM, Tenaris, and JFE proprietary threads as well as API, ACME and special Buttress threads and related processes such as blasting, phosphating, cooper plating and makeup / torque up for connection.
In depth understanding and hands on experience with quality control inspection techniques and instrumentation such profile projector (>50x comparator), surface comparator/measurement device, different type of hardness testing methods, durometer, borescope, API Gauges, coating/plating thickness gauges, almen gauges, press-o-film, and phosphate titration/test coupon weight, digital height gauges, digital and dial gauge calipers, precision micro-height, bore gauges.
In depth understanding of various calibration standards, accreditation agencies and traceability.
In depth knowledge with hand-on experience in ASNT Level II in UT, RT, MT, PT & VI and UT wall thickness gauge.
Current or expired certification preferred
A subject matter expert in GD&T, understanding complex final machined prints, tight tolerances (<0.001"), stack up tolerances, surface finish (<8 RMS) and ripper molding technique. Be able to identify required quality control methods and instrumentations, develop the respective technical work instructions and train and qualify QC inspectors.
Previous experienced and knowledge of semi and automatic measurement systems such as:

PMI Analyzers

FARO Technology

Zeiss CMM technology

Hexagon laser scanner systems

MICRO-HITE measurement system

Other digital measurement equipment technology

Deep understanding of various machining (i.e. drilling, honing, trepanning, gun drilling, EDM, wire cutting, turning, milling, threading, grinding), coating/plating & heat treatment processes. As well as general understanding of CNC programming and machine operations.
Hand-on experience with highly technical root-cause-analysis.
Hands-on experience in dealing with third party inspectors (TPI)

Qualifications

+ 7 years' experience in variety of quality control roles in manufacturing facilities

Preferred:

Previous experience in quality roles in manufacturing facilities of Well Completion and Construction tools such as safety valve, ball valves, packer, liner hangers, swellable packer, annulus casing packer/ inflatable packer, others. Including experience with complex mechanical assemblies and factory acceptance tests.
In depth understanding of API Q1 and the following API standards: API 5B, API 7-2, API 11D1, API 14A, API 14L, API 19AC & API 19V, 19 G1, G2, G3
API Q1 10th edition Practitioner course completed
