The Vice President of Technology directs the strategic design, acquisition, management, and implementation of an enterprise-wide technology infrastructure. Responsible for the long-range direction of an organization’s technology function. Being a Vice President of Technology establishes technology standards and communicates technical information to the organization. Monitors and analyzes technology and trends that could improve the company’s products and performance. In addition, Vice President of Technology typically requires an advanced degree in Computer Science or Engineering. Typically reports to Chief Information Officer or Chief Executive Officer. The Vice President of Technology manages a business unit, division, or corporate function with major organizational impact. Establishes overall direction and strategic initiatives for the given major function or line of business. Has acquired the business acumen and leadership experience to become a top function or division head.

Our company is looking for a Vice President Technology to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing business case justifications and cost/benefit analysis for technology spending and initiatives;
  • Improve the technical competence of the team through training & development of existing and new team members;
  • Participate in development process to ensure project deliverables are met on time and are of highest quality and efficiency;
  • Own direct responsibility in terms of key technology choices and implementation;
  • Shall ensure company’s technological processes and service comply with all requirements, laws, and regulations;
  • Oversee all aspects of the technology, including technical strategy, technology architecture, best practices & technology stacks.

Requirements:

  • Qualification: B.E/B.TECH/M.TECH/MS;
  • Ability to comfortably work in a fast paced, often ambiguous environment;
  • Only from B2C companies;
  • 5+ years hands on experience in Java based projects;
  • Experience with new, latest technologies and trends such as Blockchain, AI, etc;
  • Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and diagnostic skills;
  • Prior experience as a software developer (MUST);
  • Desire to change the existing paradigms, think out of the box and sharp analytical minds;
  • B.E. from Premium Top Tier Institutes like IIT’s, NIT’s, IIIT’s is mandatory;
  • Experience solving challenging engineering problems with multiple constraints;
  • Ability to effectively communicate and interact with Sr. management and peers;
  • Self-starter and independent thinker;
  • Strong sense of team work, ownership, and accountability;
  • Excellent time management, resource management and planning skills;
  • Experience with agile or other program management methodologies and supporting tools.
