Vice President – Platform Engineering Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Vice President – Platform Engineering to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Build, retain and motivate high performing product engineering team;
- Maintain key customer relationships, serving as the company sponsor for key deployments;
- Help define, refine and review technical architecture and product roadmap by working closely with product management, engineering and field;
- Monitor and evolve high quality and efficient agile based engineering processes;
- Own, manage and deliver Icertis’ products, with strict release criteria around quality, scalability, performance and security;
- Be a single point of contact for Icertis products from engineering point of view;
- Provide mentorship and support to engineering team for complex engineering problems, designs and technical challenges;
- Be the head of engineering and part of core leadership team.
Requirements:
- Excellent ability to follow-up on items and to ensure resolution/closure of problems;
- Self-motivated and able to thrive under pressure;
- Excellence written and oral communication skills, with ability to connect to masses but sill deep rooted on the ground;
- Risk identification and Assessment as it relates to enterprise solutions;
- Quick and innovative thinking with the acumen to correctly interpret available data;
- Strong organizational and attention to detail skills with the ability to multi-task and learn quickly;
- 20+ years of industry experience with focus on product development and enterprise solution delivery, with at least 5 years in leadership role;
- Good knowledge of enterprise grade web and mobile applications;
- Function effectively and independently in a fast-paced environment;
- Strong hands on experience, with ability to walk through engineering designs, challenge them and help them evolve.
