Manager, Security Architecture and Operations Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Manager, Security Architecture and Operations to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Develop standard operating procedures and other appropriate documentation to enforce quality and consistency of Security services being delivered;
- Develop and maintain partnerships with key partners to ensure that service levels are met;
- Lead the Security Operations team responsible for monitoring and responding to Security Events;
- Communicate vertically and horizontally across the company to keep stakeholders informed and involved on Security Operations matters;
- Direct the Security Incident Response Program and assist with related matters resulting from security investigations;
- Participate in key security initiatives as the Subject Matter Expert to ensure alignment with strategies and roadmap;
- Ensure Security Operations procedures are documented and followed;
- Provide routine updates and reporting on resource utilization to ensure all SecOps deliverables are completed on time.
Requirements:
- CISSP, CISA, CISM, GSNA, GSEC, and PMP certifications are a plus. RHCE or Linux certification is a plus;
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of general UNIX systems administration (CentOS/Linux preferred);
- Knowledge of standard UNIX infrastructure tools. (DHCP, DNS, NTP, SYSLOG, SSH, IPSec etc);
- Bonus if you have prior FinTech or financial services experience;
- Exposure to open source infrastructure management and automation tools is required;
- Bachelor’s degree with a technology focus, especially Computer Science, MIS, or Engineering;
- Security incident response in coordination with other teams across the company and/or externally as required;
- Knowledge of IT governance and control methodologies such as Payment Card Industry (PCI), ISO 27001, SOC1/2, HIPAA, FedRAMP/NIST 800-53 rev 4;
- 7+ years experience in Information Security is required;
- Self-starter that can drive complex projects with minimal guidance/oversight;
- One or more scripting or programming languages (Perl, C, Shell, and Python etc) is a plus.
