Implement production processes for nanoscale designs to produce or modify materials, devices, or systems of unique molecular or macromolecular composition. Operate advanced microscopy equipment to manipulate nanoscale objects. Work under the supervision of nanoengineering staff.

Our company is looking for a Research Associate to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Validating market data, including integrity of company and brand information;
  • Secondary research: gathering and scrutinising information from a variety of industry/company sources;
  • Staying up to date on industry trends, with special focus on local industry performance, and share knowledge with other Analysts and Research Manager;
  • Developing close contacts across industries to ensure a strong depth and breadth of insight into market performance and trends;
  • Report writing and editing.

Requirements:

  • Ability and comfort to work independently and make key decisions on projects;
  • The ability to use desk research effectively to bolster and verify insight from other sources;
  • Must have a reliable means of transportation (public or private);
  • Must be willing to participate in the Company pre-employment screening process, which may include drug testing and background investigation;
  • The confidence and ability to take the post forward with minimum supervision;
  • Experience in Python, SQL, SPARQL, HTML or similar;
  • Good analysis and report writing skills; the ability to use all insights gather to build a comprehensive summary report;
  • Strong organisational skills and ability;
  • Knowledge of BI tools such as Power BI and Tableau;
  • Tenacity and attention to detail;
  • Experience in implementing data-driven learning algorithms;
  • Must have the ability to speak, read, and write English;
  • Working experience in VBA, JavaScript or R;
  • Experience in data manipulation and cleaning, multi-dimensional scaling and numerous types of data transformation;
  • Must have a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
