Technical Marketing Engineer SD-WAN Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Technical Marketing Engineer SD-WAN to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Participating in demo development, industry events, and Cisco Sales events;
- Ensuring necessary content, training programs, and design implementations are available to the sales and partner technical communities;
- Participating in the product development process to provide use cases, deployment scenarios, and technical documentation of new product requirements;
- Some travel both both domestically and internationally will be required;
- Engaging with key customers to drive the product and solution adoption;
- Leading SD-Access design, implementation, Proof of Concepts and deployment;
- Evangelizing the value and technical differentiators of SD-Access and related solutions to sale teams, channel partners, and customers;
- Being the customer’s technical advocate inside the product marketing and development organization;
- Generating compelling technical sales enablement collaterals such as Q&A, design and deployment whitepapers;
- Create and deliver customer and partner presentations including industry events, roadshows, Cisco Sales events. EBCs, competitive sales.
Requirements:
- BA/BS or equivalent (engineering, marketing, or business preferred) required;
- Deep understanding of networking technology, strong technical knowledge of Security, Secure Access technologies and relevant use cases;
- Strong ability to build relationships among Cisco sales, marketing and customers;
- Strong communication skills and proven ability in developing and delivering clear technical collaterals;
- Familiarity with cloud solutions (e.g. AWS, Azure, hybrid cloud, etc.);
- Ability to work with limited supervision in defining initial goals, prioritizing parallel projects, and addressing complex issues as they arise;
- Ability to work effectively with cross functional teams to influence product strategy and to drive results;
- Strong technical writing and presentation skills;
- Successful experience in Sales, Technical Marketing, or a similar role;
- Experience in Routing, Switching, Wireless, Security and Network Management;
- 4+ years overall experience in fields such as technical or product marketing, sales, or engineering.
