System Administrator

Install, configure, and support an organization’s local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet systems or a segment of a network system. Monitor network to ensure network availability to all system users and may perform necessary maintenance to support network availability. May monitor and test Web site performance to ensure Web sites operate correctly and without interruption. May assist in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software. May supervise computer user support specialists and computer network support specialists. May administer network security measures.

Our company is looking for a System Administrator to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and provide support for Firewall and network system;
  • Design new computer systems system and server performance;
  • Run reports on system performance for team and wider organisation;
  • Ensure systems are secure and protected from breach or viruses;
  • Risk mitigation planning;
  • New accounts set-up and active directory administration;
  • Create and implement training for staff;
  • Troubleshoot technical issues;
  • Manage network servers and technology tools;
  • Upgrade systems with new releases and models;

  • Install and configure software and hardware;

Requirements:

  • Fluent in at least one scripting language (perl, bash, python);
  • Experience managingstorage-XFS,NFS,CIFS,SAN;
  • In-depth knowledge of common network services (DHCP, DNS, postfix, etc);
  • General networking knowledge (VLAN, LACP, VPN, routing);
  • 5+ yearsofLinux(ideallyFedora/Redhat)systemsadministration experience-bothdesktopandserver;
  • User administration (setup and maintaining account);
  • Good documentation & communication skill set;
  • Familiarity with ITIL Process;
  • Strong UNIX administration skill set especially Solaris and HP UX;
  • Strong Linux administration skill set especially Redhat;
  • 3+ Years of experience as L2/L3 Production Support for Linux/UNIX infrastructure;
  • windows/linux system administration experience would be required;
  • 7+ Years of technical work experience;
  • Good team player.
