Our company is looking for a Sr System Administrator II to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform root cause analysis to resolve issues quickly in a complex IT environment;
  • Provide budgeting input and create purchase requests for projects, maintenance, capital, and expenses;
  • Ensure that knowledge is retained through documentation of procedures and knowledge-base articles;
  • Drive process improvements and make recommendations for continuous service improvement;
  • Work within required SLAs for the business and provide regular and frequent status updates;
  • Ensure high availability and security by updating and patching systems;
  • Be able to work independently with excellent verbal/written communications skills;
  • Manage and execute on projects within the team and cross-functionally;
  • Identify key risks on the technical design and work with involved teams to mitigate;
  • Partner with cross functional teams of IT and vendors to design and deploy virtualization infrastructure solution based on the project requirements;
  • Contribute to infrastructure technology strategies by staying up-to-date on industry trends and best practices;
  • Monitor systems and services globally;
  • Evaluate and manage vendors and contracts within budget;
  • Manage and maintain windows servers, support monitoring & applications, etc;
  • Follow policies and procedures including those for ITIL incident, problem, change, and release management.

Requirements:

  • VMware and Microsoft certifications are desirable;
  • Previous technical lead experience a plus;
  • Strong working knowledge of VMware ESX environment, Citrix VDI and HP/Cisco blade infrastructure;
  • Relevant Certifications on Cisco like CCNP-R&S , CCNP-DC , CCIE-DC, CCIE-R&S;
  • Strong working knowledge of Windows server administration;
  • Experience with AWS/Azure SaaS technologies is highly desired;
  • Experience in a heterogeneous environment (including Linux);
  • Strong working knowledge of system monitoring;
  • Strong knowledge of applications architecture components;
  • Must have Solid understanding of modern Data Center design and networking concepts including routing protocols, VLANs, DMVPN, IPsec, and TCP/IP;
  • Experience with Cisco Nexus/Catalyst switches, Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco Routers, Riverbed WAN accelerator, Cisco Wireless, Cisco ASA and Cisco ISE;
  • Must be able to work well with others;
  • Organized and being detail oriented with high initiative;
  • Strong working knowledge of security and system best practices;
  • Strong project management and time management skills.
