Senior Solution Architect Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Senior Solution Architect to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Plans evolutionary paths for SAS software architectures, incorporating dependent third-party architectural changes and new technology adoption;
- Performs majority of primary responsibilities on projects of medium scope independently;
- Communicates architecture designs to promote understanding and acts as a resource for understanding and explaining overall R&D architecture;
- Sphere of influence: department and division with some interaction across divisions;
- Manages risk identification and risk mitigation strategies associated with the architecture;
- Maintains and organizes detailed documentation about technical designs with supporting justification for architectural and design choices;
- Influences, arbitrates, and/or enforces design decisions that have a broad impact across projects, teams, and products;
- Asks questions and seeks assistance as required without prompting;
- Provides source material and diagrams for white papers and user documentation of SAS product architecture.
Requirements:
- Ability to write requirements for moderately complex systems;
- Ability to comprehend the details of complex system software and the implications of architectural changes;
- General understanding of system software design in areas such as enabling technologies, analytics and solutions;
- Strong communication and coordination skills;
- General understanding of SAS products.
