Security Automation Engineer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Security Automation Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to Coupa’s security strategy;
- Work with engineering and product to ensure security is considered in all new functionality;
- Monitor and analyze security data;
- Test and evaluate 3rd security technologies and tools;
- Create and foster a security culture in cloud operations and development;
- Produce and present security reports and roadmaps for management;
- Participate in Security Incident On-call rotation;
- Advocate Security best practices throughout Coupa;
- Conduct manual and automatic static and dynamic security scans;
- Assess and prioritize security issues for engineering;
- Define and iterate upon best security practices;
- Define and implement security monitoring and response procedures;
- Take part in red-team and offensive security exercises where applicable;
- Perform security design reviews with development and product teams;
- Support and deliver upon assigned security projects.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in an equivalent security related role;
- Ability to work in a team environment;
- Strong experience in web application security eg (XSS, CSRF, SQL injection);
- 2+ years of experience with automation using Java, Perl, PHP, Python, Ruby or equivalent;
- Bonus if you have prior FinTech or financial services experience;
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written;
- Familiarity with Cloud Computing and Software as a Service.
