Magento Developer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Magento Developer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high quality project work and support the evolution of best practice and standards;
- Team management;
- AJAX and Magento Community and Enterprise Edition;
- PHP 5 Development;
- Must have worked on minimum 2-3 projects of Magento;
- Implement new software with an understanding of industry standard best practices;
- Magento Architecture;
- Maintain existing software systems by identifying and correcting software defects;
- Design, code and test web and other software applications;
- Very strong with REST & other Magento web service implementations & customizations;
- Developing Magento modules in PHP using best practices;
- Writing backend code in line with best practices on the Magento 1 and Magento 2 platform;
- Enhance existing systems by analyzing business objectives, preparing an action plan and identifying areas for modification and improvement;
- Create and deliver data-driven reports;
- Work with the Product and Research & Development Team.
Requirements:
- Demonstrable knowledge of XML , XHTML, CSS, Modules i.e. API integration, Payment Gateways, XML with a focus on standards;
- Rest APIs Experience;
- Fluent Communication in English (verbal and written);
- Advanced knowledge of Magento, JavaScript, HTML, PHP, CSS, and MySQL;
- Zend Framework (MVC);
- At least 5-8 years Magento development experience;
- Follow best practices and write object oriented code;
- Ability to juggle multiple client projects of varying scope, complexity, and effort;
- Zend or Magento Certification will be plus;
- Knowledge of Apache and Web Services;
- Should be a patient listener, and an excellent team player;
- Composer;
- Knowledge to implement Sync between Magento and other systems (like a mobile app) would be an added benefit;
- Magento certification is a plus;
- Ability to project-manage and work to strict deadlines.
