General Manager – CloudOps Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a General Manager – CloudOps to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Drive Security across all of Cloud infrastructure through various tools;
- Create a strong policies and process on Cloud infra deployment and spend tracking;
- Streamline monitoring strategy for the cloud infrastructure;
- Ensuring the Cloud operations team has best talent to support its service;
- Drive efficiencies through automation by creating an automation pipeline and getting it delivered through the team;
- Making sure the Cloud operations is run through proper set of predefined policies which are compliant against various certifications;
- Develop reliable metrics for hardware and software while ensuring strategic capacity planning for the infrastructure running on the cloud;
- Evaluate new technologies to drive better service and efficiency;
- Manage Customer Success, Core engineering and Professional services as a customer for their various Cloud infrastructure needs.
Requirements:
- 20+ years’ management experience in an IT environment;
- Experienced in network and firewall management;
- Worked in product engineering environment with good knowledge about building CI/CD pipeline;
- Experienced/Certified on ITIL processes;
- Strong on IT process framework as well as knowledge about Standard Operating Processes;
- 5+ years’ experience working with public cloud, preferably on Microsoft Azure;
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer Science or related field;
- Hands on experience on technologies such as Kubernetes, automated infrastructure deployment on cloud.
