Data Visualization Engineer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Data Visualization Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Project specific experience and impact;
- Configure different types of data visualization objects (e.g. Pivot tables, line- graphs, bar- charts, scatter- plots, etc.);
- Experience with correct application of data granularity and aggregation from data- model into meaningful visualization;
- Experience with writing advanced expressions needed for computing dynamic business logic when needed;
- Develop repeatable processes and reload jobs on server;
- Experience with performing ETL using a tool such as Qlik or Alteryx or Talend Scripting and SQL knowledge;
- Experience with preparing good data models, such as dimensional models;
- Data Preparation Experience;
- Experience working with disparate data sources and be able to perform data integration;
- Scripting experience to be able to generate visualization beyond what is possible via existing data;
- Application of relevant visualization object for use- case;
- Data Visualization Experience;
- Business/People/Consultative Experience;

- Appreciation for business use- case and how the data visualization can help make better decisions faster.
Requirements:
- May be required to travel occasionally;
- Excellent oral and written communications skills in English language;
- js library is a plus;
- Confidence and poise in interactions with senior executives;
- May be required to attend conference calls outside of normal working hours;
- May be required to work from home occasionally;
- 2 years experience in Qlik (Qlik Sense and/or QlikView);
- Problem solving and root cause analysis;
- Understanding of basic finance concepts for a services company;
- Team building, coaching and training delivery;
- 5 years of work experience, including 2 year of supervisory experience.
