Technical Recruiter

Technical Recruiter screens, interviews, and recommends prospective employees for employment in entry-level and experienced technical positions. Works with search firms or other placement agencies, and determines optimum recruitment method to develop and maintain a highly qualified candidate pool. Being a Technical Recruiter may require a bachelor’s degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. To be a Technical Recruiter typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience. Gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.

Our company is looking for a Technical Recruiter to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with IT team leaders to forecast department goals and hiring needs;
  • Lead the team in maintaining the integrity and comprehensiveness of our hiring process;
  • Source potential candidates on niche platforms,
  • Parse specialized skills and qualifications to screen IT resumes;
  • Write and post technical job descriptions;
  • Conduct job and task analyses to document job duties and requirements;
  • Screen candidates: reviewing resumes, conducting first-round phone screens, writing up evaluations in our ATS (Lever);
  • Perform pre-screening calls to analyze applicants’ abilities;
  • Craft and send personalized recruiting emails with current job openings to passive candidates;
  • Interview candidates combining various methods (e.g. structured interviews, technical assessments and behavioural questions);
  • Keep up-to-date with new technological trends and products;
  • On-board new hires;
  • Compose job offer letters.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills and English-speaking ability;
  • Minimum 1 year of experience with IT recruitment – preferably Java, J2EE, Quality Assurance, Technical Project Managers etc;
  • Familiarity with job portals like Naukri, Monster;
  • Able to network well with jobseekers, especially on social network sites like LinkedIn.
