Technical Consultant Int – Cloud Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Technical Consultant Int – Cloud to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Understand Data Protection concepts like Backups, Scheduling, Retention, Restore and adapt to new product in short interval;
- Responsible for Administration of Dell EMC Block and File Storage/Pure Storage and NetApp Storage;
- Utilize the knowledge of RAID, Storage Group, Thin/Thick provisioning to facilitate excellent management of Storage infrastructure;
- Maintain SAN Switches, Attend to requests of Zoning and troubleshoot switch related issues;
- Good understanding of Multipathing and its relevance to LUN Allocation;
- Troubleshoot performance related issues;
- Operationalize and continuously improve the control on Capacity reporting and planning;
- Troubleshoot NAS Storage issues;
- Plan, Document and Execute upgrades of Storage firmware, Switch firmware etc;
- Ability to handle Storage allocation and deallocation in shared environment ensuring no data loss;
- Aware about the Compatibility matrix;
- Good understanding of Replication concepts and ability to use appliance like EMC Recover point.
Requirements:
- Relevant technical understanding of Operating System and Network;
- NetApp Storage administration;
- Data protection skills on Commvault are desirable;
- Good understanding of ITSM Processes;
- Good documentation skills;
- Pure Storage Administration;
- Complex Problem solving skills while collaborating with other technical teams;
- EMC All Flash Storage Administration.
