Technical Business Analyst Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Technical Business Analyst to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Typically works with senior staff, but may coordinate smaller or less complex projects independently;
- Production and review of high-level requirements specifications/functional analysis;
- Supports call-initiated workflow through IT, logging all customer questions, requests, and problems and tracks the same through to resolution;
- Provide demo of implemented functionality to internal/external parties;
- Review Product Documentation (BA – Product);
- Provide module specific consultation to other internal teams;
- Develops clear vision for end product/system;
- Records problem symptoms and status information in a timely fashion in an effort to communicate with and properly utilize senior staff;
- Develops a well defined, shared understanding of the project scope;
- Review of test plans for new developments/releases/reports;
- Retrieve, use and understand data from a relational data warehouse in order to make recommendations to product team;
- Completes content, process, and procedures for technical and functional system work that is low to medium in complexity;
- Acts as primary focal point for all customer applications;
- Ensures proper documentation and business justification of all requests;
- Functional testing of new developments/releases.
Requirements:
- Must be able to effectively communicate to audiences at all levels of the organization, translating for both technical and non-technical audiences;
- Ability to take managements direction and needs from concept to reality;
- Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Word skills;
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
- Must also demonstrate excellent negotiation, analysis, problem-solving, decision-making and time management skills;
- Ensure IT projects are function smoothly and efficiently for all employees and customers;
- Own and deliver IT initiatives and services to all business units and departments;
- Self-starter with excellent time management skills and some flexibility when working in a global environment across all time zones;
- Outstanding analytical problem solving, analytical decision-making skills;
- Provide inspirational people leadership for the Management & Employees;
- Familiarity with how back-end (such as ERP) and eCommerce or related digital solutions interface with each other;
- Knowledge of Business Travel standard tools an asset (GDS, OBTs …);
- Relational database knowledge;
- Demonstrates creative and innovative thinking by bringing new ideas and improvements forward;
- Ability to collaborate with a top management members.
