India Program Consultant, Partnerships Job Description Template

Our company is looking for a India Program Consultant, Partnerships to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Represent Girls Who Code at targeted meetings, community events and conferences to increase brand recognition and increase applications to our Clubs;
  • Convert interested applicants to completing the Clubs application through phone banking and additional individualized follow up;
  • Secure, manage and cultivate partnerships with local community-based organizations to support the expansion of our Clubs program;
  • Create a comprehensive outreach plan with the goal of educating partners about our Club model;
  • Meet weekly with the manager for 1:1 check-ins and weekly team meetings;
  • Conduct research, landscape analysis and synthesize information to target schools, libraries and sites for Clubs;
  • Submit weekly status updates and meet monthly application targets;
  • Coordinate responses to inbound email and web questions;
  • Work closely with the team to ensure that the recruitment strategy being implemented is effective and meeting recruitment targets;
  • Travel to areas within assigned geographies as necessary for community partner cultivation and management;
  • Host information sessions and application workshops to support families with completing applications for our Clubs.

Requirements:

  • Detail-oriented, with superb organizational skills;
  • Passion for our mission to close the gender gap in technology fields through a commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion;
  • Data driven: the ability to track outcomes through set goals;
  • Ability and willingness to travel as necessary;
  • Ability to navigate and operate comfortably within different cultures;
  • Must be highly knowledgeable of the community in and surrounding the specific region;
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred and/or equivalent work experience;
  • Proficiency in Hindi preferred;
  • Comfortable working effectively under pressure to meet tight deadlines and goals;
  • 2 years prior experience managing school and/or community relationships;
  • Comfortable working independently and being a part of a remote, distributed team;
  • Knowledge of and/or interest in computer science, technology, and/or education preferred;
  • Proactive and self-motivated; you follow-through with projects from start to finish;
  • Experience with Google Suite and Salesforce preferred;
  • Successful track record in setting priorities, shaping processes, and executing quickly and effectively.
