Event Manager Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Event Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate all operations;
- Source and negotiate with vendors and suppliers;
- Be in charge of hiring personnel (DJs, waiters etc.);
- Lead promotional activities for the event;
- Prepare budgets and ensure adherence;
- Plan event from start to finish according to requirements, target audience and objectives;
- Come up with suggestions to enhance the events success;
- Supervise all staff (event coordinators, caterers etc.);
- Analyze the event’s success and prepare reports;
- Development, production and delivery of projects from proposal right up to delivery;
- Delivering events on time, within budget, that meet (and hopefully exceed) expectations;
- Managing supplier relationships;
- Managing operational and administrative functions to ensure specific projects are delivered efficiently;
- Ensuring excellent customer service and quality delivery;
- Setting, communicating and maintaining timelines and priorities on every project.
Requirements:
- Computer savvy; proficient in MS Office;
- Project management skills;
- Proven experience as event manager;
- Knowledge of KPIs and marketing techniques for event management;
- Customer service orientation;
- Excellent organizational skills;
- BSc/BA in PR, marketing, hospitality management or related field is preferred;
- A team player with leadership skills;
- A knack for problem-solving;
- Ability to use initiative;
- Multi-tasker;
- Ability to lead and motivate a team;
- Good with budgets;
- Reliable/good at hitting deadlines;
- Good Communication.
