Our company is looking for a Sr Sub Editor to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Copy editors might write headlines;
- Depending on the size and scope of the publication, a magazine editor may perform a combination of the tasks mentioned above;
- May arrange the layout of articles and sidebars;
- Also check spelling, grammar, and punctuation. May also suggest word changes to keep the magazine from being sued;
- Responsible for checking article facts and ensuring that an article matches in-house style guides.
Requirements:
- Self Motivator and zeal to take initiative and learn new things;
- Interpersonal skills for dealing with writers, other editors, and designers;
- Excellent command of language;
- Attention to detail and a sense of style;
- Copy editors need broad general knowledge for spotting factual errors;
- Candidates from Education/Health/Governance content writing and Editing will be given preference;
- Good critical thinking skills in order to recognize inconsistencies or vagueness.
