Senior Product Designer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a very high standard of user experience;
- Designing information architecture, story-boards, and workflows;
- IT-Software / Software Services;
- Deliver design solutions in form of design spec, task flow diagrams, wireframes and HTML ready UI;
- Work directly on the design of the product yourself, focusing especially on important projects;
- Advocate the importance of User Centered Design and mentoring designers on design process and deliverable;
- Industry;
- Understanding and analyzing user and business requirements and converting them into design specs, task-flows, IAs and mock-ups;
- Working closely with Product Managers, designers, engineers and QA to ensure high quality and timely delivery of features;
- Defining user persona and ensuring that the design team develops a strong user empathy.
Requirements:
- Must be self-motivated, a good communicator, comfortable following direction, and able to balance great design with meeting short deadlines;
- Expert knowledge of Adobe CS;
- Very strong user empathy;
- Solid grasp over UI copy writing;
- Exceptional visual design, typography, and user experience design skills;
- Proficient with creating information architecture, flow, story-boards, and wireframes;
- Familiarity with interaction design patterns and platform guidelines;
- Preferably a master’s or bachelor’s degree in design;
- Strong web development skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript);
- A bias towards simplicity;
- Hands on with tools like Balsamiq, Photoshop, and Illustrator for wireframing and design;
- Ability to follow brand guidelines for visual design;
- Visual portfolio to showcase previous work is a must have;
- Creative and data-driven;
- Comfortable tackling complex challenges.
