Interaction Designer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Interaction Designer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Post mockups for clients and manage project deliverables;
- Wireframe interfaces using Balsamiq, Omnigraffle or other software of your choosing;
- Manage content entry and layout;
- Visualising & creating information architecture & user tasks / flows;
- Regularly benchmark design and interaction best practices by tracking and analysing leading innovators using a host of online resources;
- Coordinate projects independently and work directly with clients;
- Understand and implement user experience principles in the context of your designs;
- Design beautiful web art mockups (Desktop and Mobile);
- Design logos and branding materials;
- To prepare and conduct workshops with clients or users to understand brand attributes and value, business objectives & user needs;
- Understand functionality requirements and suggest value-added solutions;
- Be actively involved in the production process – coordinate and own quality during conversion of designs into HTML code;
- Responsible for conceptualising and implementing design concepts, graphic images, and branding websites and interface applications;
- Collaborate with content / copy writers to deliver the intended message / communication that is required for the given product / website;
- Work with Information Architects, User Experience Analyst consultants and other team members to create and design innovative interaction solutions.
Requirements:
- Required qualification (HCI, CUA-HFI). Skill demonstration is more important;
- Must possess deep understanding of website performance related issues and is motivated to design for extreme optimisation;
- Accessibility;
- Must be an effective problem solver. We expect you to come up with creative solutions and consider many alternative solutions to each problem;
- Form Design best practices;
- Experience contributing to innovative and successful products;
- Demonstrated collaboration skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams;
- Interaction Design Principles;
- Strong understanding of modern web design principles, user experience, information architecture, and social media;
- Minimum of 2+ years experience in design;
- Must possess a strong portfolio that demonstrates high-quality design work for both the Indian and global audiences;
- Excellent attention to detail;
- Able to translate business requirements to user requirements;
- Skills in building modern designs for the web;
- Must have good managerial skills to manage team members as required.
