Our company is looking for a Safety Officer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish a cordial and professional relationship with employees;
  • Practice safe working techniques;
  • Identify hazardous waste and disposal of it correctly;
  • Maintain compliance of all safety regulations;
  • Compile and maintain relevant registers to ensure compliance;
  • Document staff information, minutes of meetings, and reports compiled for management;
  • Work with HR to set up a new employee-on-boarding process for safety;
  • Prepare educational seminars & webinars on a regular basis;
  • Prepare and present reports on accidents and violations and determine causes;
  • Identify process bottlenecks and offer timely solutions;
  • Support the development of OHS policies and programs;
  • Plan & implement OHS policies and programs;
  • Conduct risk assessment;
  • Review existing policies and measures and update according to legislation;
  • Oversee workplace repair, installations & any other work that could harm employees safety.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work in MS Office Excel;
  • Valid competency certificates;
  • Strong communication Skills;
  • A bachelors degree or an associate degree;
  • Registration as a Health and Safety Officer;
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Applications;
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in this position.
