AWS Cloud & Data Platform Engineer

Job Description:Immediate Joiners or less than 30 days notice period.We are seeking a hands-on AWS Cloud & Data Platform Engineer to develop and scale a serverless, AWS-based data and business intelligence platform. The role involves building event-driven data pipelines, API integrations, and cloud-native services using AWS Lambda, modern ETL patterns, and strong engineering practices.Key Responsibilities:AWS Cloud Engineering:- Design, develop, and operate serverless solutions using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, S3, EventBridge, SNS, and SQS.- Implement secure cloud networking and access controls using VPCs, IAM roles, and AWS security best practices.- Monitor and optimize cloud solutions using CloudWatch metrics, logs, and alarms.Data Pipelines & ETL:- Build and enhance serverless data pipelines using AWS Lambda and AWS Glue.- Design event-driven and API-based data ingestion architectures.- Perform data modeling and transformations for analytics and BI use cases.API Development & Integration:- Design and implement RESTful APIs using API Gateway and AWS Lambda.- Integrate internal and external systems through secure API and webhook-based patterns.- Define and maintain OpenAPI/Swagger specifications.DevOps & Infrastructure as Code:- Provision and manage infrastructure using Terraform or AWS CDK.- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, or similar tools.- Automate deployments and enforce repeatable, reliable delivery processes.Observability & Dashboarding:- Develop Grafana dashboards for system, data pipeline, and business metrics.- Implement CloudWatch-based monitoring, alerting, and centralized logging.- Visualize and analyze time-series data to support operational and BI insights.Security & Governance:- Implement IAM modeling, secrets management, encryption, and audit logging.- Enforce cloud security, governance, and compliance best practices.Cross-Functional Collaboration:- Produce clear technical documentation and architecture diagrams.- Collaborate with Application Software Engineering, IT, OT, and DevOps teams.- Participate in design discussions and technical decision-making.Required Skills & Experience:- 46 years of overall experience in software engineering, cloud engineering, or data engineering.- Strong hands-on experience with AWS serverless services, including Lambda, API Gateway, EventBridge, S3, SNS, and SQS.- Experience building cloud-native data pipelines and ETL workflows.- Proficiency in Python and/or Node.js for backend and Lambda development.- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or AWS CDK.- CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, or similar tools.- Strong understanding of API design, system integration patterns, and API security.- Experience using Grafana and CloudWatch for observability, monitoring, and dashboards.- Experience with time-series data platforms such as InfluxDB or similar technologies.Key Technologies:- AWS Lambda, API Gateway, S3, EventBridge, SNS/SQS, Glue, CloudWatch, VPC, and IAM- Python and/or Node.js- Terraform or AWS CDK- GitHub Actions or AWS CodePipeline- Grafana and InfluxDB or a similar time-series platform- REST APIs, webhooks, and OpenAPI/Swagger (ref:hirist.tech)
