About the Opportunity

Fractal Picture is currently looking for talented and passionate CG Animators to join its team for an exciting Feature Animation project .

We are seeking animators who have a strong understanding of character animation and can bring believable performances, movement and emotion to digital characters. The ideal candidates will have solid experience in body mechanics, acting, timing, weight, posing and performance , along with the ability to translate creative direction into polished animation.

This is an excellent opportunity for artists who are looking to contribute to a feature animation production while working alongside a professional animation team in a collaborative studio environment.

The Job Role : CG Animator

As a CG Animator, you will be responsible for creating high-quality character animation that supports the story, personality and performance of each shot. You will work with production requirements and creative direction to deliver animation that feels natural, expressive and visually engaging.

The role may involve working on a variety of character performances, from subtle acting and dialogue-driven moments to physical actions and complex body mechanics.

You should have a strong understanding of animation principles and be able to create convincing movement while maintaining appropriate timing, spacing, weight and rhythm throughout each shot.

We are looking for artists who can take animation from an initial blocking stage through refinement and final polish while responding effectively to feedback from Leads and Supervisors.

Experience Required

Fractal Picture is looking for candidates with approximately 2–7 years of professional CG animation experience .

Candidates should have experience working in a professional animation, VFX or related production environment and should be comfortable working within established production workflows.

We are particularly interested in artists with strong experience in character animation, body mechanics, acting, timing, weight and performance .

Your showreel should demonstrate your strongest animation work and provide a clear representation of your current skill level.

Candidates with experience working on feature animation, cinematic projects or other high-quality character-driven productions are encouraged to highlight that experience in their application.

Location & Work Arrangement

1. Location: Goregaon West, Mumbai
2. Work Arrangement: Hybrid

This position will be based in Goregaon West, Mumbai , with a hybrid working arrangement. Candidates should be comfortable working according to the studio’s production requirements and schedule.

Immediate joiners are preferred for this opportunity.

Animation Test

As part of the selection process, shortlisted candidates will be required to complete an online animation test .

The test will provide the team with an opportunity to evaluate your animation skills, understanding of movement and ability to approach a production-style shot.

Candidates should be prepared to demonstrate their understanding of timing, weight, body mechanics, acting and overall performance through the assigned test.

The quality of your showreel and animation test will be important parts of the selection process.

Showreel Requirements

Your animation showreel should focus on your strongest and most relevant work.

Where possible, include examples demonstrating:

• Character performance
• Body mechanics
• Acting
• Dialogue
• Physical movement
• Weight and balance
• Timing and spacing
• Facial animation
• Complex character interactions
• Polished final shots

If the reel contains work completed as part of a larger production, clearly mention your individual contribution. A concise and focused reel is preferred over a long reel containing work that does not represent your current capabilities.
