Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business, Operations, Journalism, Liberal Arts, Communications, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 2 years of experience in the news industry or advertising. 3 years of experience in strategy, consulting, business development, operations, analytics, audience, product, or project management. Preferred Qualifications Newsroom experience, particularly with a focus on breaking news. Understanding of subscription revenue, nonprofit donations, audience development, ad revenue, and trends in business performance. Experience in teaching, public speaking or mentoring journalists. Excellent strategic, problem-solving, presentation, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to project manage with minimal guidance, to thrive in an ambiguous and fast-paced environment, balance competing priorities, and manage several time-sensitive projects Ability to craft and communicate insights from data, affinity for metrics Experience with subscription or donations management systems or Google Reader Revenue Manager About the job The Platform and its Program work with journalists and publishers to make quality information accessible
