SAP CAP Developer

Role Description:To further strengthen our engineering capabilities, we are looking for a technically skilled and motivated SAP CAP Developer to join our global One GT product team.As an SAP CAP Developer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing cloud native business services and Fiori applications on SAP BTP as part of the global Finance General Ledger platform (One GT).Your primary focus will be on side by side extensions to SAP S/4HANA, including integration services, staging and validation layers, configuration and monitoring applications, as well as API based data access for internal and external consumers.You will work closely with SAP S/4HANA development teams, integration specialists, data & analytics teams, and Finance stakeholders to ensure that solutions meet business requirements while adhering to enterprise architecture standards, security, compliance, and the Clean Core principle.Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:- Design and develop SAP CAP applications (services and UIs) using Node.js / TypeScript- Model business domains and service contracts using CDS and expose them via OData v4 APIs- Build and operate cloud native side by side extensions on SAP BTP- Implement custom business logic, validations, and event handling within CAP services- Integrate CAP applications with:1. SAP HANA Cloud (HDI containers)2. SAP BTP Integration Suite (API first integration approach)3. SAP Datasphere for staging, reconciliation, and harmonization scenarios- Develop Fiori elementsbased user interfaces for configuration, monitoring, and operational control- Ensure security, role concepts, auditability, and compliance in line with Munich Re and regulatory standards- Collaborate with ABAP / SAP S/4HANA teams through well defined APIs in a Clean Core setup- Contribute to architecture decisions, code quality, and DevOps practices within the One GT product teamKey Competencies & Skills required:Must have:- Strong hands on experience with the SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP)- Proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript (Java is an advantage)- Solid experience with SAP HANA Cloud and HDI containerbased development- Experience designing and implementing OData based APIs- Good understanding of cloud native architectures on SAP BTP- Very good understanding of modern software development and product life cycle concepts- Very good knowledge in written and spoken English- Quick starter to troubleshoot/resolve incidents and business support items- Strong analytical and problem solving skills- Ability to multi-task effectively- Prioritize Business Impact and Urgency- Ability to learn new technologies and methodologies quicklyNice to have:- Experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance, especially General Ledger (FI GL)- Understanding of Finance and accounting processes (e.g., IFRS, GAAP)- Experience with SAP Fiori elements- Knowledge of SAP Build Work Zone- Understanding of XSUAA, OAuth2, and role & authorization concepts- Familiarity with ADO, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practicesBehavioural Skills:- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for working in a global environment in hybrid teams- Willingness to learn and quickly adapt to changing requirements- Proactive approach to identifying issues and presenting solutions and options- Acts professionally and friendly in interaction and asks questions to better understand the business requirements and the needed adjustments of the SAP systemSoft Skills:- Good team worker within international teams with players from several countries- Excellent interpersonal and communication skillsPrevious Experience & Qualifications:Education/Qualification:- A degree in Business Administration, Business Information Systems or IT Consulting or equivalent or a related discipline; or equivalent work experienceKnowledge & Experience:- About 7+ years of experience within one of the mentioned SAP modules (FI-GL, FI-AP/AR, FI-AA and CO); good overview knowledge of SAP configurations in the FI environment- Experience of working within multi-location teams.
