We are a fast-growing organization with structured operations and a strong accounting foundation. We are looking to add an experienced Bookkeeper & Payroll Administrator with deep knowledge of North American trucking accounting. Role Overview We are seeking a senior-level professional who can independently manage full-cycle bookkeeping, payroll, and compliance for trucking operations. This is a hands-on role — not supervisory — requiring strong attention to detail, accountability, and proven experience in the trucking industry. Key Responsibilities Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for trucking and logistics operations Handle Accounts Payable & Receivable (fuel cards, tolls, permits, vendors) Process Canadian payroll (T4), driver settlements, and reimbursements Prepare and file GST/HST and CRA-related reports Handle IFTA and provincial fuel tax reporting Perform bank and credit card reconciliations Track equipment costs, depreciation, and maintenance expenses Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) Support year-end closing and audit requirements Required Qualifications Minimum 2 + years of bookkeeping experience with North American companies (Canada/USA) Minimum 2 + years of hands-on QuickBooks Online experience (mandatory) Direct experience in trucking/transportation accounting (mandatory) Proven experience with Canadian payroll (T4, CRA compliance) Strong understanding of GST/HST and IFTA reporting Advanced Excel skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Communication Requirement Fluent English
