Job Title: Systems Administrator

Salary: 50,000-70,000 per month (DOE)

Location: Sector 75, Mohali

Shift Schedule: 8:30PM to 5:30AM (Night Shift)

Job Description

We are seeking a Systems Administrator to join our company. In this role, you will take the lead in supporting the current technological needs of our company while at the same time anticipating and planning for future needs. You will play a key role in determining the adoption of new technologies and the design of IT infrastructure. You will need to be flexible in terms of supporting a wide range of technologies and systems in order to support ever-changing company needs. You must have a passion for providing excellent customer service, maintaining strong security controls, and using technology to enable the success of the company.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Research and implement new software and hardware systems after determining requirements and verifying that requirements are met
• Manage/maintain Entra ID environment as well as an Office 365 tenant with Office licenses (and their users)
• Manage and maintain backup software and data
• Manage user access on different systems
• Maintain Azure virtualization environment
• Configure, deploy, and maintain servers, network, and Azure firewall
• Manage remote monitoring and management service used for all end-user computers (Ninja)
• Develop and apply best practices and related support documentation
• Resolve high-level technical problems with minimum supervision
• Coordinate with vendors as needed for purchases, maintenance work, etc.
• Maintain a high level of uptime and performance for IT systems based on requirements
• Crosstrain and mentor junior-level IT members
• Manage company telecommunications, including email, online collaboration software (Zoom and Teams), and VOIP systems (GoTo)
• Adhere to and help develop/maintain existing cybersecurity policy

Skills Required

Microsoft 365 Administration

• Entra ID (Azure AD): user/group management, conditional access policies, MFA configuration, SSO setup
• Intune: device enrollment, compliance policies, configuration profiles, app deployment, Windows Autopilot
• Exchange Online: mailbox management, mail flow rules, distribution lists, shared mailboxes, quarantine management
• SharePoint Online: site administration, permissions management, storage quotas, sharing policies
• Teams: teams/channel management, meeting policies, voice configuration, guest access policies
• OneDrive: storage management, sync policies, sharing controls
• Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance: DLP policies, sensitivity labels, audit logs, alert policies, Secure Score monitoring, Microsoft Defender, and policy management

Azure Infrastructure

• Azure VM management: monitoring, patching, snapshots, resizing, start/stop scheduling
• Azure VPN: Point-to-Site VPN troubleshooting, client configuration, certificate management
• Azure networking basics: VNets, NSGs, DNS, firewall rules
• Basic understanding of MySQL Server and IIS/web server administration
• Azure Backup configuration and restore procedures

General Technical Skills

• PowerShell scripting (particularly for M365 and Azure automation)
• DNS
• Basic Windows Server administration
• Basic Windows 11 administration
• SSL/TLS certificate management
• Documentation and knowledge base maintenance

Soft/Analytical Skills

• Troubleshooting and root cause analysis
• Clear communication with non-technical users
• Time management and ticket prioritization
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies

Requirements and Qualifications

• Previous systems administration experience (5-7 years preferred)
• Flexible to work in U.S. shift time business hours
• Experience installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining Azure VMs
• Experience with network traffic performance monitoring and troubleshooting
• Experience managing and configuring firewall rules and network access policies
• Must be experienced with Entra ID, Group Policy, Windows Server OS, and Office 365 cloud technologies
• Must have strong troubleshooting and communication skills
• Ability to function independently, evaluate risk/need, and prioritize work with minimal supervision
• Prefer experience working within an established cybersecurity program that makes use of SOP’s, auditing, IT systems monitoring, and documentation, etc.
• Strong understanding of security best practices, including when and how to use them, password management, data encryption, principle of least privilege, two-factor authentication, sensitive data handling, hardened system configuration, data loss prevention, etc.
• Experience managing enterprise-level backup solutions, including retention schedules, backup testing, time to recover, etc.
