You will own the full analytics lifecycle : knowing exactly what is tracked and what is not, partnering with engineering to close tracking gaps and document tracking requirements, and turning raw app data into dashboards, reports, forecasts, and recommendations. This is a hands-on data analyst role for an expert in SQL and Looker Studio who can pull mobile app data directly from source systems, build pipelines that consume app data into our AWS environment, forecast performance as we expand into ecommerce and devices, and help stand up AI and agent-based analytics that surface insights automatically.Key Responsibilities : Tracking Ownership and Data Quality : - Own the mobile tracking inventory for iOS and Android : maintain a documented picture of every event, property, and user attribute tracked, and identify what is missing or broken.- Partner with mobile and backend engineers to define, document, and validate event tracking for new features, and audit regularly to catch gaps, duplicates, and data quality issues.- Maintain a tracking plan and data dictionary as the source of truth for what the apps collect and why.Reporting, Dashboards, and Insights : - Build and maintain Looker Studio dashboards covering app usage, engagement, retention, feature adoption, ecommerce performance, and connected device activity.- Own mobile app KPIs end to end, provide self-service analytics for stakeholders, and deliver ad-hoc data pulls and deep-dive analysis on request.- Conduct cohort, funnel, retention, and cross-platform analysis across iOS, Android, and web to identify opportunities to improve engagement and retention.Ecommerce and Trend Analysis : - Analyze in-app ecommerce behavior including product views, cart activity, checkout funnels, conversion, and revenue attribution.- Forecast app usage, ecommerce performance, and device engagement trends; identify patterns and anomalies and translate findings into actionable recommendations.Experimentation and Product Partnership : - Design and analyze A/B tests to measure the impact of product changes and optimize user experience.- Partner with product managers to define success metrics for new features and measure outcomes post-launch.Data Pipelines, AWS, and AI Analytics : - Build and maintain pipelines that move mobile app data into our AWS environment, ensuring it lands modeled, documented, and query-ready.- Help design and stand up AI and agent-based analytics workflows that automatically surface insights, anomalies, and recommendations from app data.About You : - 4-6 years of experience in product or data analytics, with significant hands-on experience analyzing mobile applications (iOS and Android).- Expert-level SQL skills and expert with Looker Studio for dashboarding and reporting; experience with other BI tools (Tableau, Looker, Mode) is a plus.- Strong proficiency with mobile analytics platforms such as Firebase Analytics, Amplitude, or Flurry, including pulling raw data via exports and APIs.- Proven experience defining and documenting event tracking plans and working directly with engineers to implement and validate tracking.- Experience analyzing ecommerce data (funnels, conversion, revenue) with GA4; connected device or IoT usage data strongly preferred.- Experience with forecasting and trend analysis using statistical methods, Python, or R.- Experience building or maintaining data pipelines, ideally with AWS services (S3, Glue, Athena, Redshift, Kinesis, or similar).- Interest and ideally hands-on experience applying AI and LLM tooling to analytics workflows, such as automated insight generation or agent-based reporting.- Proven experience designing, executing, and analyzing A/B tests in a mobile app environment; expert in cohort, funnel, and retention analysis.- Strong communication skills and experience working closely with product and engineering teams in an agile environment.Location : Ahmedabad, India (ref:hirist.tech)
