Reporting To: Area Manager Operations – Modern Trade (Entire South India)
Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Team Lead Operations – Modern Trade to manage and drive modern trade business operations across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Karnataka. The candidate will be responsible for handling key accounts like D-Mart and Reliance, managing on-roll and off-roll teams, ensuring execution excellence, and supporting sales growth in the assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle complete Modern Trade operations for South Region (AP, Telangana & Karnataka).
- Manage key modern trade accounts including D-Mart, Reliance, and other regional chains.
- Coordinate with ASM for business planning, sales execution, and operational improvements.
- Lead and manage both on-roll and off-roll team members across assigned states.
- Ensure proper visibility, merchandising, promotions, and stock availability at stores.
- Monitor sales performance, secondary sales, and operational KPIs regularly.
- Build strong relationships with store managers, category managers, and distributors.
- Ensure timely order processing, stock replenishment, and issue resolution.
- Conduct market visits and team reviews to improve productivity and execution quality.
- Prepare sales and operational reports and share updates with management.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Experience in Modern Trade operations/sales handling.
- Strong exposure to accounts like D-Mart, Reliance, or other large retail chains.
- Experience in team handling (On-roll & Off-roll employees).
- Good understanding of FMCG operations and retail execution.
- Strong communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively across South India.
Preferred Industry
FMCG / Personal Care / Consumer Goods
Qualification
Graduate in any discipline. MBA preferred.
Experience
5–10 years of relevant experience in Modern Trade Operations/Sales.
