Description
We are a denim garment manufacturing , seeking an experienced, hands-on HR Executive to source, hire and onboard large numbers of factory workers (trainee operators, helpers, checkers) across stitching, cutting and finishing. The role is factory-floor based and focused on maintaining staffing levels to meet monthly production targets. Candidate must have strong local labour-market connections and proven high-volume hiring experience under production pressure.
Responsibilities
- Source candidates through contractors, ITIs, training institutes, local networks and employee referrals to meet daily and monthly staffing targets.
- Manage high-volume recruitment drives, walk-in camps and field outreach specific to labour-intensive roles.
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors to ensure timely supply of workers and maintain vendor performance records.
- Screen, interview and select candidates for trainee operator, helper and checker roles on the factory floor.
- Handle end-to-end onboarding including documentation collection, basic KYC verification and initiation of joining formalities.
- Maintain and update trackers/MIS in Excel to monitor hiring status, attendance, joining rates and attrition metrics.
- Work closely with production supervisors and line managers to align hiring with monthly production plans and floor-level requirements.
- Implement early-attrition tracking and control measures; follow up on new-joiner retention and corrective actions.
- Ensure accurate employee records, maintain compliance with labour regulations and assist with statutory documentation as required.
Qualifications
- Graduate (any discipline). HR/IR diploma or equivalent is a plus but not mandatory.
- 3–6 years of experience in bulk/labour hiring, preferably in garment/textile or other labour-intensive manufacturing.
- Proven track record of hiring at scale under production pressure.
- Fluent in Gujarati and Hindi; strong local Ahmedabad labour-market network (contractors, ITIs, training institutes, referrals).
- Comfortable working on the factory floor and coordinating directly with production teams.
