Senior Mobile Game Engine Developer - Solar2D & LUA Programming

Role : Senior Mobile Game Engine Developer - Solar2D (Corona SDK) & Lua Runtime Expert : Job Description : We are seeking an exceptionally experienced Solar2D (formerly Corona SDK) Game Developer with deep expertise in the framework's runtime architecture, Lua optimization, and cross-platform mobile deployment. This is not a generic Unity, Unreal, or Cocos role.Mandatory Requirements : - 7+ years of professional game development experience.- Minimum 4+ years of hands-on development using Solar2D (Corona SDK) in production environments.- Portfolio containing multiple published Solar2D/Corona SDK games available on Google Play and/or Apple App Store.- Advanced expertise in Lua, including metatables, coroutines, closures, runtime optimization, and memory management.- Strong understanding of Solar2D's rendering pipeline, scene lifecycle, event dispatch system, physics engine, and asset management.- Demonstrated ownership of complete mobile game architecture, including deployment, monetization, optimization, and live updates.Core Responsibilities : - Architect scalable game systems using Solar2D and Lua.- Develop reusable gameplay frameworks, entity systems, UI architecture, and animation pipelines.- Optimize rendering performance to consistently maintain 60 FPS across low-end Android devices and modern iOS devices.- Profile and eliminate CPU bottlenecks, memory leaks, excessive draw calls, and Lua garbage collection spikes.- Implement advanced game systems including state machines, object pooling, scene management, asset streaming, save systems, and localization.- Integrate native plugins using Solar2D Native when framework limitations require platform-specific functionality.- Implement mobile monetization using AdMob, AppLovin MAX, Unity Ads, IronSource, In-App Purchases, and subscription models.- Manage complete build and release pipelines for both Android and iOS.Required Technical Expertise : - Solar2D (Expert) : Composer Scene Management, Widget Library, Display Groups, Runtime Events, Transition Library, Sprite Sheets, Physics Engine, Native API Integration, Solar2D Native Builds, Plugin Development.- Lua (Expert) : Coroutines, Metatables, Closures, Module Design, Object-Oriented Lua, Garbage Collection Optimization, Memory Profiling.- Mobile Development : Android SDK integration, iOS provisioning, Xcode, Android Studio, Gradle, CocoaPods, App Store Connect, Google Play Console.- Performance Engineering : GPU optimization, CPU profiling, Draw call reduction, Texture compression, Memory footprint optimization, Sprite batching.- Version Control : Git, GitFlow, Bitbucket/GitHub, CI/CD pipelines.
