Senior Associate / Executive - Conference Production & Concept, Events

Role Summary
The Senior Associate / Executive – Conference Production & Concept is responsible for researching, 
developing, and delivering high-impact conference content for BigMint's portfolio of commodityfocused events. The role involves identifying emerging industry trends, creating compelling 
conference agendas, acquiring industry-leading speakers, and collaborating with internal and external 
stakeholders to ensure successful event outcomes.
The ideal candidate should possess strong research capabilities, excellent communication skills, 
commercial awareness, and the ability to build relationships with senior industry stakeholders across 
the metals, mining, energy, logistics, and commodity sectors.
Reporting Structure
Reports To: Manager / Senior Manager – Production & Concept
Key Stakeholders: Analytics, Price Reporting, Sales, Marketing, Operations, Industry Associations, 
Sponsors, Speakers, and Industry Experts.
Key Responsibilities
1. Industry & Market Research
• Monitor developments across steel, scrap, iron ore, coal, ferro alloys, non-ferrous metals, 
logistics, shipping, and energy markets.
• Track market trends, policy developments, trade dynamics, and emerging industry challenges.
• Conduct competitor benchmarking and identify new conference opportunities.
• Develop market insights and research briefs to support conference planning.
2. Conference Concept & Agenda Development
• Research and develop conference themes aligned with market trends and business 
opportunities.
• Design conference agendas, session formats, panel discussions, workshops, and networking 
formats.
• Prepare session descriptions, speaker briefs, moderator notes, and content frameworks.
• Ensure conference content remains relevant, engaging, and commercially attractive.
3. Speaker Acquisition & Management
• Identify and engage industry leaders, CXOs, policymakers, traders, analysts, investors, and 
technology providers.
• Manage speaker outreach, follow-ups, confirmations, and participation.
• Build and maintain a robust industry speaker network.
• Coordinate speaker requirements, presentations, and session preparation.
4. Stakeholder Engagement
• Develop relationships with industry associations, trade bodies, government agencies, and 
market participants.
• Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to support delegate and sponsorship acquisition.
• Assist in identifying content-led sponsorship opportunities.
• Represent BigMint at industry events and networking forums.
5. Event Delivery & Execution
• Support conference execution by managing speakers and session delivery.
• Coordinate with operations teams to ensure smooth agenda implementation.
• Troubleshoot content-related issues during live events.
• Ensure an exceptional experience for speakers and delegates.
6. Post-Event Analysis
• Collect and analyze feedback from speakers, delegates, sponsors, and stakeholders.
• Prepare post-event reports and recommendations.
• Maintain and update speaker, stakeholder, and industry databases.
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Journalism, Communications, 
Marketing, or a related discipline.
• 2–5 years of experience in conference production, market research, consulting, business 
journalism, commodity markets, B2B events, or content development.
• MBA preferred.
• Experience in commodity, metals, mining, energy, logistics, or industrial sectors will be an 
added advantage.
